Figures are typical values for each film family on standard glazing. Temperatures are illustrative for a south-facing room on a clear summer afternoon. Your survey gives exact figures for your glass and orientation.

One thin layer. Six problems solved.

Film is fitted to the inside of your existing glass. No new windows, no scaffolding, no building work.

Cooler rooms

Solar heat is reflected before it builds up inside, so south and west facing rooms stay comfortable.

Lower energy bills

Air conditioning works less in summer, and Low-E films help hold heat inside in winter.

No glare

Work at a screen or watch television without closing the blinds and losing the daylight.

Stops fading

Blocks 99% of UV, protecting floors, furniture, artwork and stock in shop windows.

Privacy

Reflective and frosted films stop people seeing in, while you still see out.

Safety and security

Safety film holds broken glass together, reducing injury risk and slowing down forced entry.

We'll test samples on your own glass so you can see exactly how each one looks before you choose.

Solar Control

From near-invisible to mirrored. Cuts heat and glare while keeping natural light.

Low-Heat

Keeps heat out in summer and in during winter. Ideal for year-round comfort.

Privacy and Frosted

Frosted, one-way and decorative patterns for bathrooms, offices and street-facing rooms.

Safety and Security

Holds shattered glass in place. Helps meet glazing safety requirements and deters break-ins.

Energy saving that works all year.

Glass is usually the weakest point in a building's thermal envelope. Film improves it without replacing a single window, which is why it often pays for itself in cooling and heating costs.

SummerReflects solar heat before it enters, cutting the load on air conditioning in sun-facing rooms.
WinterLow-E films reflect radiant heat back into the room, so less warmth escapes through the glass.

Window film questions.

Will film make my rooms dark?

Not unless you want it to. Clear solar films let most daylight through while still rejecting a large share of heat and nearly all UV. We show you samples on your own glass first.

Can film go on double glazing?

Yes, on most units. Some glass and film combinations can cause thermal stress, so we check your glazing during the survey and only recommend compatible films.

Can people see in at night?

Reflective films give privacy in daylight. At night, with lights on indoors, the effect reverses. For privacy around the clock, frosted or decorative film is the answer.

How long does installation take?

Most homes are done in a day. Commercial projects are planned in phases, often evenings or weekends, so nobody has to work around us.

How do I clean filmed windows?

Leave the glass for about 30 days while the film cures, then clean with a soft cloth and a non-abrasive, ammonia-free cleaner.

What about listed buildings?

Internal film is usually straightforward, but listed buildings and conservation areas can have rules. Tell us at the survey and we'll advise on suitable films.
